Radial First Heart Clinic is a cardiology practice in Idaho Falls, Idaho. John Lassetter, MD, founder of Radial First Heart Clinic, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with more than 30 years of medical experience diagnosing and treating disorders of the circulatory and cardiovascular system — the heart, arteries, and veins. Radial First Heart Clinic manages a range of cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, hypertension (high blood pressure), and peripheral vascular disease (PVD). The board-certified interventional cardiovascular specialist uses state-of-the-art technology for diagnostic services when assessing heart health and identifying heart problems. This interventional cardiology procedure involves inserting a catheter into the radial artery in the wrist instead of a blood vessel in the groin (up till now, the standard practice). After earning his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, Dr. Lassetter completed his doctorate in medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington. He continued his training at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, completing his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in cardiology. Dr. Lassetter provides innovative cardiology care through telehealth services, using remote health monitoring equipment from Athelas Health Care Solutions in Mountain View, California. He travels throughout the United States to provide cardiac care to patients and fill in for other cardiac doctors. Away from work, Dr. Lassetter enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife and their nine kids. He’s also always looking forward to the next University of Kentucky basketball game.
