Our fall themed November Candlelight Dinner was delicious! Our fabulous culinary team treated us to pork ribeye with a cherry cranberry demi glaze, butternut puree and an apple walnut salad. Fall definitely calls for a pumpkin roll for dessert and we had a perfect, peaceful evening together before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season commences.

It’s National Family Pajama Day and our Fairwinds Family celebrated by getting cozy in our comfies! The holiday calls for family bonding and quality time together and we enjoyed doing just that.

It was a day of honor and celebration for our very own veterans today as they attended a beautiful program put on by the Idaho Falls Music Club. The Quilts of Valor group recognized resident Jack Taylor at the event by presenting him with a quilt of valor, which is awarded by the group to a service member or veteran that has been touched by war. Excerpts were shared from Jack’s book and he was celebrated for the amazing man he his! We returned to the community and enjoyed the Old Time Fiddlers in front of our Honor Wall as we reflected on the significance of Veteran’s Day.

What a week! Our community was filled with the Halloween Spirit all week long thanks to our pumpkin contest, Halloween Candlelight Dinner and our Trunk or Treat Halloween Day! So many amazing costumes and SO. MUCH. FUN! We already can’t wait for next year! Huge thanks to all of the companies and families that participated in our events. 🎃👻🧙🍭

We couldn’t let this day pass without wishing our colorful and perfectly coordinated leader a happy National Boss’s Day! Fairwinds Sand Creek is so lucky to have Machelle as the captain of our ship and the culture and community we all enjoy is, in large part, thanks to her! We are so grateful for all she does for the staff and residents (and in a wide array of colors and prints!)
