Sixteen years ago today, I married my best friend live on the radio.
What started as a fun, slightly wild, very “us” moment became a reminder of something I believe even more deeply today: love is meant to be witnessed. Connection is meant to be shared. Community matters.
That day wasn’t just about Nathan and myself. It was about the people listening, cheering, calling in, celebrating with us. It was about being held in a collective moment.
Sixteen years later, that same heartbeat is behind Alleviating Sounds.
Breath. Presence. Resonance.
The way our nervous systems settle when we feel seen.
The way sound carries intention.
The way community changes everything.

We are honored to welcome Brittany Kaaiakamanau, MSW as a guest facilitator for our Couples Connection & Renewal Retreats (Sept 5–7 + Sept 12–14 in Rexburg).
Brittany is a psychotherapist and counselor at Meraki Healthcare, specializing in trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, and relationships. She is EMDR trained, Gottman Level 1 certified, and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. With her depth of training and compassion, she works with teens and adults to create spaces of safety, growth, and healing.
At the retreat, Brittany will be guiding our Connection & Grief Session, a powerful opportunity for couples to process, release, and renew together, preparing the heart for the sacred cacao experience that follows.
