Sleep is the foundation of health. It supports memory, mood, learning, and a strong immune system. And it’s just as important for children and teens as it is for adults. 😴 The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children under 12 get 10–12 hours of sleep per night, while teenagers should aim for 8–10 hours per night.

Here are some effective strategies to ensure your child gets enough rest:
1️⃣ Keep a consistent bedtime schedule
2️⃣ Create a calming bedtime routine
3️⃣ Dim the lights 30 minutes before bed
4️⃣ Avoid screens at least 1 hour before sleep
5️⃣ Encourage teens to charge phones outside their bedroom

The medical staff at the Pediatric Center currently consists of seven Board Certified Pediatricians and three Certified Pediatric Physician Assistants. We have been serving eastern Idaho for over 55 years providing quality pediatric care from birth to the age of 19. For your convenience, we have an in-house laboratory for necessary testing.
