If your child’s tooth gets knocked out during sports, here’s what to do:

• Stay calm and find the tooth
• Hold it by the crown, not the root
• Gently rinse if it’s dirty, but only with water!
• Try to place it back in the socket if possible, and hold in place
• If not, store it in milk or saliva
• Get to a dentist as quickly as you can
