We hear this question all the time, and the answer is: YES! Even when it’s cold and overcast outside, the sun’s rays can still cause damage to your skin. The ozone layer is thinnest in the winter months, letting through even more photoaging UV rays. Ice and snow also reflect the sun, so you can get a burn much faster. Winter can be tough on your skin! By upping your water intake, choosing the right moisturizers, and protecting your skin from the elements, you can keep looking and feeling your best during the winter months. We recommend using moisturizers with richer ingredients like cocoa butter, shea butter, or rosehip oil and applying them immediately after cleansing to lock in moisture. Even when it’s cold outside, the sun’s rays are still strong and can cause skin damage. Make sure to wear sunscreen, and don’t forget to use a lip balm with SPF, too!
