As many of you have a day off today, maybe this will be a good reminder.
Rest comes in many forms! You do NOT have to be sleeping or vegging on a couch to get rest. In fact, if you are sleeping well at night, this might not be your most effective type of rest!
A good nights sleep is important for physical, mental, and emotional health! But many do not give ourselves rest in other areas of life! There are actaully 7 types of rest that you can intentionally engage in that can shift our mood and help us cope with our mental health struggles.
Cleaning, organiziing, being outside, gardening, turning off screens, spending time with being you love, and exercise can all be considered REST!
As you plan your activities today, how are you going to find rest??
