God has provided for our healing, firstly through His Son who literally died so that we can live and have life abundantly. But also in the daily simple and practical ways. We are stewards of our bodies and healing and staying well is simpler than this world has made it out to be. There is so much I can add to this but I will save it for future posts.

There are many ways to include healing herbs and spices into your daily life. One of the easiest and most cost effective is by drinking them in a tea.
Some herbs, like tough, fibrous roots need a longer simmering process to make what is called a decoction, in order to extract all of the desired medicinal qualities. And then there others, like marshmallow root, that are best extracted with a cold infusion. That is just adding room temperature water and letting it sit or refrigerating it overnight. This gently extracts the mucilage from the root which is what is usually the most desired constituent of marshmallow root, and what gives it its ability to soothe and help heal the entire digestive tract.
Incorporating a comforting cup or two of herbal tea into your daily life can do wonders for your wellness and is by far one of the simplest, but also extremely effective ways you can help your body to heal and thrive. And these are plants that are all around us. Not some elusive secret plants in a remote forest. In every part of the world there are healing plants everywhere you look. God really has made it simple. Let’s not over complicate it.
