Happy Nevada Day!

Today, we honor Nevada's rich history and its admission to the Union on October 31, 1864. Officially observed on the last Friday of October, this state holiday gives Nevadans a chance to celebrate "The Silver State" with pride.

From parades to school and government closures, Nevada Day is a time to reflect on our heritage and the pioneering spirit that shaped our state. And tomorrow, on November 1st you can celebrate at the Nevada Day Parade in Carson City, Nevada's captial.
