In his April 1963 Letter from a Birmingham Jail, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. wrote, “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

This truth guides our work every day as we strive to create a future where all children are safe, loved, and supported. When we help heal the trauma experienced by today’s kids and families, we’re also helping prevent trauma for generations yet to come.

Our offices are closed today, but if you are in immediate crisis, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call/text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Members of our community-building council were lucky enough to attend the 2026 Chancellor’s Dr Martin Luther King Jr Scholarship Luncheon hosted by the Community College Foundation at Union Station today.

MCC Chancellor Dr Kimberly Beatty and featured guest Hill Harper both spoke about the importance of education, the legacy of Dr King, and our responsibility to “answer the call.”

Today we’re celebrating Joy's sixth CAPAversary. She's an incredible therapist, teammate, and source of steady light at CAPACares.

Joy pours her heart into walking alongside the families she serves, meeting each person with compassion, gratitude, and belief in their strength.

Her colleagues share that one of the best things about Joy is how she shows up for her team with a listening ear, a helping hand, and genuine care for everyone around her. Her kindness makes our community stronger. Happy CAPAversary Joy!

Happy third CAPAversary to Tiah! From day one, she's brought warmth, authenticity, and so much heart to CAPACares. As she wraps up her provisional license, she’s grown into a phenomenal clinician, supported by mentors, guided by compassion, and always committed to showing up as her true self.

Her colleagues say it best: she’s the person who makes everyone feel seen and valued, the one who jumps in with her many talents (photography included!), and the steady, nurturing presence who supports clients and coworkers alike.

Tiah, thank you for your dedication, your kindness, and the way you pour your light into our community every single day. We’re so grateful to have you on the team.
