Our Story

We opened Rickman Chiropractic in March 2000. Dr. Steve Rickman and his staff are dedicated to serving the community of Independence and the surrounding area with the highest quality chiropractic care. We specialize in treating people of all ages with all of their healthcare needs. We have taken care of little newborns to 99 year olds. We treat conditions resulting from auto accidents, workplace accidents, falls, sports injuries or those ailments that come on gradually with no known cause. Some of the conditions we most commonly see are: neck and back pain, arm and hand pain/numbness, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, migraines, leg and foot issues, TMJ syndrome, just to name a few. We are certain you won't find a nicer chiropractor in Independence, MO! At Rickman Chiropractic, we also treat kids of all ages for various issues. In addition to stress from childbirth to the constant jumping, falling (average of 5000 times by the age of seven), running and bumping of normal childhood often cause vertebral subluxations, with serious health implications if left uncorrected. We appreciate the importance of check ups for a child's teeth, hearing, eyes, ears, nose and throat but parents may draw a blank when it comes to the spine. Also, don't forget those active kids in organized sports that are prone to hidden spinal injuries from lots of contact on and off the field. Keeping their spines healthy under chiropractic care is also one of the best ways of keeping their immune system's functioning at their optimal levels.
