Last week, we had the honor of kicking off our Specialized Training initiative with our customized First Responder Training, alongside the incredible team at Shaker Heights Fire Department! This professional development session focused on practical strategies for safely and effectively interacting with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the use of AAC and trauma-informed de-escalation techniques. We’re proud to support the creation of a more inclusive, responsive, and informed community. 👨‍🚒
