Our residents love sports, both traditional and non-traditional. ⚾️🥊🏈🏸 Recently, we took a trip to a Cedar Rapids Kernels' baseball game, which brought back many memories.
Have you ever played Whack-a-Mole at the arcade? 🔨
Check out this new game: Human Whack-a-Mole! Everyone cheered and laughed.

🎉🎶 Elvis Stole the Show This July! 🎶🎉

We had a rockin’ good time this month as Elvis made an appearance and brought the house down with his legendary moves and charm! 💃🕺

But that’s not all — our Independent High School students added extra sparkle last week by helping host a fun-filled Bingo Night! From calling numbers to cheering on winners, they brought incredible energy and made it a night to remember.
We also took some residents to the Buchanan County fair and had a fun filled time! 🌟
Can’t wait to see what August brings! Stay tuned!

Summer fun—Jesup Farmers Days, the Delaware County Fair, and the parade! 🎡🎉 Nothing like fair food, small-town charm, and lots of laughs. We also took a stroll by the river in Independence! And when we weren’t out and about, we soaked up the sunshine with some good old-fashioned patio time back at Lexington Estate. ☀️

Today we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Jaws !

The film was originally released on June 20, 1975, so naturally we had to honor it in style on June 20, 2025 — half a century later! 🗓️

We fired up the projector (because this movie DESERVES a big screen), broke out the shark-themed snacks and yes, some brave souls saw the movie for the very first time. And to end the shark filled day, Root beer floats! Happy Friday!

What a fun-filled January we've had at Lexington Estates! 🎉 Our residents have been busy with creative and exciting activities all month long! From making beautiful flower vases and crafting unique creations, to conducting fun science experiments, it’s been a month of hands-on excitement. We even turned our wall into a giant Scrabble board for some friendly competition! And, of course, who could forget the adorable snowmen made from Nutter Butters – a sweet treat to brighten the day! We’re having a blast, and we can’t wait to see what February brings!
