Koinonia joins I Am Boundless to provide services to people
with disabilities in 60 Ohio counties.

Services offered:

• Residential Services: We provide caring homes throughout Northeast Ohio that help people enjoy independence with the supports and services they need to succeed.

• Supported Living: Koinonia’s Supported Living Program provides a broad range of options for adults with developmental disabilities who choose to live in homes they own or lease. Our Supported Living services focus o

n each individual’s specific needs, preferences, and community integration goals. Services range from drop-in support to 24-hour assistance.

• Shared Living: A residential service option that allows individuals to receive continuous care and support while living in a family home setting.

• Adult Day Services: At Koinonia Enterprises, we strive to provide a full range of service options to help people with IDD live their best life possible through a commitment to person-centered services that connects people to relationships and uncovers a person’s talents and passions. Specifically, we offer facility based, community based, in-home and virtual programming. We are one of the few adult day services in Ohio approved to offer STEP model programming post COVID-19.

• Employment Services: We offer individuals the pathway to meaningful employment through individualized career planning designed to achieve long-term goals.

• Transition Services: The only program of its kind in the state of Ohio, Compass Pathfinder leverages Koinonia’s extensive expertise to improve graduation and employment rates among high school students with IDD through academic supports, career experiences, and job placement.

Our Story

Koinonia Homes (KH) is Northeast Ohio’s leading agency dedicated to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Founded in 1974, Koinonia provides residential, adult day, and career services to more than 600 people, with a staff of over 600 professionals. Koinonia serves as a lifeline to true independence, health, meaningful employment, self-esteem, driven by individual choice. Our service portfolio includes 22 licensed group homes, more than 60 supported and shared living arrangements, transportation services, and shared living options. Koinonia Homes serves people in nine counties in Northeast Ohio.
