Zon Beachside Residents Witness Sea Turtle Release

The residents at Zon Beachside were thrilled to be part of such an incredible experience! On October 1, 2025, they gathered at Pelican Beach Park in Satellite Beach to witness the release of Bugs, a juvenile green sea turtle, back into the ocean.

Bugs had spent the past five months at the Brevard Zoo’s Sea Turtle Healing Center after arriving in April with severe barnacle encrustations on its shell, which caused fractures and tissue damage. Thanks to the dedicated care of the Healing Center team, Bugs made a full recovery.

The release, open to the public and weather permitting, was a truly special event—highlighting both the resilience of wildlife and the important role of conservation efforts. Seeing Bugs return to the ocean was a moment of joy and inspiration for everyone in attendance, especially our Zon Beachside residents.

We are surrounded by incredible talent at The Residences at Zon Beachside! 🎨 Our residents enjoy a weekly art class led by the wonderful Debbie, our Art Teacher. Many of our residents came to Zon already passionate about art and have continued to nurture their creativity—either by taking the class or sharing their skills with friends.

We were honored to host an Art Show showcasing both current works and pieces created throughout our residents’ lifetimes. From intricate drawings to pottery and stitchwork, every piece was absolutely stunning.

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended—residents, family, and friends—and to everyone who shared their beautiful talents with us! 💖

🎱✨ What an amazing day at Zon Beachside! ✨🎱

We were thrilled to host our very first Billiards Tournament with fellow Senior Living Communities from across Brevard County. The competition was friendly, the wings were hot, and the beer was cold—making it a day to remember! 🍗🍻

A huge thank you to our neighboring communities for joining us and to Team Zon for keeping an eye on our Beachside Ballers. 💪👏

We came, we ate, we played… and most importantly, we had FUN! That’s what life at Zon is all about—because here, we live, not just sleep. 🌴💙

Zon Beachside hosted our Annual Couples Anniversary Dinner, and together we celebrated an incredible 683 years of love and marriage! 🥂💕

Throughout the evening, our wonderful couples shared sweet stories—first dates, who fell in love first, and memories that warmed every heart in the room. 💞

We are truly honored to walk alongside our residents on their life journeys and to celebrate such special milestones. 🌹

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended, and to our amazing Culinary Team and Life Enrichment Team for creating an unforgettable night of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Wendy, our amazing Life Enrichment Coordinator, threw an epic poolside bash for our residents—and it was a splash-tastic success! 🏖️💃

There’s no better way to beat the heat than taking a refreshing dip in our beautiful pool. 🌊 From fun in the sun to floating laughs, it was the perfect way to stay cool and connected.

Don’t forget—we’ve got weekly water aerobics classes, and our residents are LOVING every moment! 💪🩱 Come dive into the fun!
