Cheyanne and Dakota Miles are 13 and 10 years old and live in Indian Head, MD. Like so many across the nation, they battle with Sickle Cell Disease every single minute. They have been very fortunate to have had a slightly easier road than most with the disease, but find in extremely important to inform SOMD and the country that there are so many that suffer in silence. Hosting a blood drive not on

ly raises money for the local Children's hospital, but it raises awareness to Southern Maryland. Showing them, answering questions and making resources available to those battling with the disease.
