Know the Signs of Heatstroke 🚨
As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heat-related illness. Heatstroke is a serious medical emergency that can affect anyone spending time outdoors, especially children, older adults and outdoor workers.
Watch for these symptoms:
- Headache, dizziness or confusion
- Skin that is hot, red and dry (or profusely sweating)
- Rapid heartbeat
- Nausea or vomiting
- Loss of consciousness
If you or someone around you shows signs of heatstroke, seek medical attention immediately. Move to a cooler place, use cold compresses and avoid giving anything to drink if the person is not fully alert.
