September brings the shifting of the seasons. Get grounded ✨
I came across this quote from Thich Nhat Hanh that says,
“From time to time, to remind ourselves to relax and be peaceful, we may wish to set aside some time for a retreat, a day of mindfulness, when we can walk slowly, smile, drink tea with a friend, enjoy being together as if we are the happiest people on Earth.”
Our lives are busy no matter what they involve. It's easy to get caught up in the daily challenges or blinded by what we think we should be. You're normal. You're human. You derserve peace in all things.
Can you take time?
Yes. You can.
You may not be able to take extended days off or go to far away places, but you can take time. Five minutes in the morning to allow our eyes to open. Time to take a few deep breaths to reset. Walk a little slower. Plan a coffee date with a friend to catch up. Maybe plan a retreat. Be present in those moments. Enjoy those moments as if there are no worries waiting for you.
When we are truly present, no matter what is happening outside of us, we are reminded that life can be good. It IS good. We can figure out the rest along the way.
