HOPE STORY...sharing personal stories of resilience and healing can be a powerful catalyst for others needing support.

"I have been dealing with trauma and abuse for as long as I can remember. Living a life without it was hard for me to imagine. More recently, I have been going through a really tough situation and I didn’t know what to do or where to turn.

I reached out to Kimberli's Place Foundation,Inc for assistance. I've personally known Heather my entire life, since I was 6 years old, and she has been like a second mother to me, always there! She has seen everything I have been through from the start and has always stuck by my side and advocated for what was right. I had enough of living in a state of fight or flight and fear, Heather made it clear that it WILL be OKAY and things WILL get better.

She has helped me every single day since I’ve gone to her, she checks in on me, and she makes sure I’m following the necessary steps to be okay, and to not allow anyone to manipulate and hurt me or my son anymore. She has given me what we all need sometimes, HOPE. I am forever grateful to her and for everyone who stands behind her. She has shown me you can speak your TRUTH and do what is right no matter what, her mental health team was accessible when I was ready to heal from my trauma.

Linda, a licensed massage therapist owner of Relaxology Massage who is also CNA nurse, and who I now absolutely adore! They encouraged me when ready she is who I needed to start my healing. She is part of Kimberli's Place Foundation team. She was able to give me a lymphatic drainage and trauma massage and explained how we hold this tension from trauma in our bodies. She was so knowledgeable and the massage was life changing. Afterwards, I felt so relieved and almost like my entire body could breathe again. I cannot thank her enough for helping me in just one hour, releasing so many years worth of trauma.

It will be a long process but this is just the start of my healing, and I am so thankful for these wonderful women I have to lean on"... 💜 Em
