If you have never zipped up body bags on a shift, you shouldn’t be deciding how much nurses make.

If you have never watched a person suffocate to death from their own blood or sputum, you shouldn’t be deciding how much nurses make.

If you have never been punched and kicked for trying to assess your patient, you shouldn’t be deciding how much nurses make.

If you have never had someone beg you to not let them die, or to let them die, you shouldn’t be deciding how much nurses make.

If you've never had to look into a loved ones eyes or hold them while they crumble when you tell them of the death of their child, mother, father, sister, aunt, gran, papa... you shouldn't be deciding how much nurses make.

If you have never told your family your shift was “fine” to spare them from what you saw that day, you shouldn’t be deciding how much nurses make.

If you’ve never felt ribs breaking from doing CPR on someone’s family member, you shouldn’t be deciding how much nurses make.

For years nurses have been underpaid and undervalued and no one seemed to care.

Now that healthcare is on the brink of a collapse, everyone is concerned.

Nurses are leaving the profession at rapid rates.

Perhaps it’s from the years of getting 1% raises and barely being able to pay bills. Maybe it’s because nurses are asked to do more and more with less. Maybe it’s from the terrible staffing ratios. The reasons are honestly endless.

Let’s start caring about nurse retention, nurse training, fair wages, safe staffing, etc.

Let’s not get to the point where you need a nurse and there isn’t one to spare.

My future is so bright I ask my GiGi to take a proactive picture. This is me as I grow into the future of the unknown. I am trusting that my family will continue to pray daily to God the father for my protection, guidance, and understanding of his will for my life. I am a miracle. My mother didn’t give up, and I have a praying GiGi. My GiGi prayed for my mom that the Lord God would grant her the desires of her heart. My mom longed to be a mother despite all the obstacles in her way. My GiGi continued to stand in the gap praying for her daughter telling God if I am to be a GiGi Lord God it’s in your hands. Let your will be done. Today I am here and my GiGi can’t stop and she won’t stop praising God for his gift of life to her first Grandchild. Yes my life is bright and it’s going to get even brighter. I am blessed to grow in a nurturing, caring, loving, & God fearing family. Thank you Father for showing us and the world how GREAT you are. As a mother you want your children to to be happy you want them to have at least the normal things in life, grow up, get married, have children. Whatever your norm is I pray that God grants you the desires of your heart. We are living proof that God does answer prays. OGCDI. Who wouldn’t serve a God like this? Your don’t love God? What is wrong with you?

1. Make sure you have friends who LOVE YOU GENUINELY!
2. Make sure you have friends who support YOU TOO!
3. Make sure you have friends that call YOU TOO.
4. Make sure you have friends who aren’t jealous or in competition with you.
5. Make sure you have friends who celebrate your highs & are present in the lows.
6. Make sure you have friends who are open to your advise too.
7. Make sure you have friends who pray for you & speak into you.
8. Make sure you have friends that when life gets busy they MAKE TIME to check in.
10. Make sure you have friends who aren’t driven by the “fame” of ministry but really care about your well being.
11. Make sure you have friends who laugh with you but yet cry with you.
12. Make sure you have friends that you don’t have to always chase but chase you too.
13. Make sure you have friends who are genuinely excited for your accomplishments TOO!
14. Make sure you have friends that include you on the “invite” list.
15. Make sure you have friends that their family loves you as much as they do.
16. Make sure you have friends who tell you the truth about YOU IN LOVE.
17. Make sure you have friends that if they don’t see you every day, they pick up where they left off with no awkwardness.
18. Make sure you have friends who DEFENDS YOUR CHARACTER when you’re not present.
19. Make sure you have friends who HOLD YOUR PERSONAL BUSINESS.
20. Make sure you have friends who you can disagree today but laugh together this afternoon.
