👀 Remember the 20/20/20 Rule: Look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes. That's good advice for "kids" of all ages! 👍

📣 Did you know that both of our Whitson Vision locations have Lions Club collection boxes for your old pairs of glasses?

🦁 The Lions Recycle For Sight Program is dedicated to the urgent need for corrective lenses in low and middle income countries around the world. Donated glasses that are still in good condition are distributed globally to optical missions.

👉 Even your shoddy, broken frames can be put to good use, as the Lions Club helps to minimize landfill waste by supporting precious metal reclamation and scrap processing for damaged glasses that are unusable.

👀 Clean out that junk drawer and bring in those old pairs of glasses today!

👁️‍🗨️ Do you recognize this chart from your last eye exam? It’s called the Snellen Chart, and it was developed by Dutch eye doctor Hermann Snellen in the 1860s.

🧐 The Snellen chart is the most commonly used optometric chart, and it is usually composed of 11 capital letters. The first line has one very large letter, and each row after that has increasing numbers of letters that are smaller in size.

👀 A person with 20/20 vision can see what an average person can see on an eye chart when they are standing 20 feet away. 20/20 Vision is considered normal visual acuity.
