A grieving family was stunned when drivers cut directly into their funeral procession. Indiana funeral directors are urging respect and reminding drivers the act is also illegal.

Scam Targeting Funeral Homes
Several of our member funeral homes recently reported an incident that raised concerns about a potential memorial service scam.

They were contacted last week by an individual named Maxwell Moreno, who wished to arrange a memorial service for his mother, Jessica Ann Moreno. He later emailed additional details, including a request to hire a band and insisted that the funeral home pay for the band and include as a third party charge on the contract.

The funeral home in Oklahoma (Pollard Funeral Homes) has kept the obituary up in the hopes that people will call them and question it. One of our (Indiana) funeral directors just kept going with this man and he even provided an address in Indiana that was found on realtor website.
