May is Mental Health Awareness Month! While we may be constantly striving to make good decisions for ourselves and keep improving upon ourselves, things don't always go our way and it can leave us feeling down, pessimistic and discouraged.
This month I'd like to provide some tidbits of hope, ways to change your thinking to help keep you on your track and journey of being your best self.
When we think of it, as we travel down roads there's typically a ditch right beside it. Many times we may not even notice it because we know and feel we have traction on the road and there's no concern of goin into the ditch. But when road conditions get a little precarious we might find ourselves in that ditch! No matter why you find yourself in the ditch on the side of the road you're taking yourself on to become a better person, it matters the kind of mindset you have to get yourself out of it. It may be it's realizing pessimism, negativity, circumstances of things or people that are out of our control are slowing down that progress. At some point we have to correct the wheel and get ourselves back on the road! Take the time you need in order to do that! The less time you spend in the ditch, will be more time making distance on the road.
