This week, clinicians from around the US and the world will gather for a fantastic event in Niagara Falls, NY. I am excited to share a new lecture with this group, sponsored by 🧬
Abstract:
The connection between our genetic blueprint and mental health is deeper than ever imagined. In this session, Methylation, Mood & the Mind: A Genomic Guide to Mental Health, we’ll explore how specific genetic variants and epigenetic mechanisms influence brain chemistry, emotional regulation, and stress resilience.
Additionally, this talk highlights the physiological toll of chronic stress, poor vagus nerve tone, and overburdened methylation pathways—including the infamous “histamine bucket” effect—and how these factors can dysregulate mental well-being. Clinicians will walk away with practical insight into how genomics can shape a more personalized and effective approach to mental health care.
