I'm excited to share that my panel session, "Why Crisis Calls Don't Connect: Bridging the Gap Between 911 and 988," has been selected for the 2026 Behavioral Health Tech Conference!

I attended this conference last year in San Diego and was completely blown away by the energy, the people, and the conversations happening at the intersection of behavioral health and technology. It left a real impression on me, and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to give back this year as a presenter.

This topic, the disconnect between our 911 and 988 systems, is one I care deeply about, and I can't wait to dig into it with a fantastic group of panelists and attendees. More details to come!

I've been invited to present at an international conference in the Netherlands to speak on "Inclusive Crisis Care: Addressing the Unique Needs of LGBTQIA2S+ Youth in Crisis"!

I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to contribute to such an important conversation on a global stage, especially at a moment when LGBTQIA2S+ youth need advocates more than ever.

The only thing standing in my way is the cost (i.e. flights, hotel, and registration fees) that are more than I can cover on my own. I've set up a fundraiser and would be so grateful for any support. Even just sharing this post helps more than you know.

"Are you BIPOC/a person of the global majority and working towards social work licensure in Hawaiʻi? Starting in August 2024 I will be offering a clinical supervision group twice a month via Zoom, accessible to folks on all islands. This group will be offered on a sliding scale basis.

We have a shortage of licensed practitioners in Hawaiʻi, and we have a shortage of people of color doing this work, especially Native Hawaiians. This offering is my attempt to do my part in paying it forward to support the next generation of social workers and leveling the playing field.

Expect clinical supervision from a harm reduction-based, abolitionist and disability justice-minded approach.

Day to be determined soon, 6pm HST.

Someone I dearly love died a few weeks ago. Grief is painful and I don’t know that I have words to really describe its magnitude.

In search of some direction for my broken heart and racing mind, I stumbled upon this book. 📖 It’s not taking away the pain, but it is helping me feel less alone in my grief.

If you’re living with grief, I highly recommend this book to give you some space to be messy, complicated, and human.

Take care of yourselves and one another. 🫶🏻
