Reaching a plateau can feel discouraging. It doesn't have to be. A teacher once told me "If it starts to feel easy, good! Keep doing it." The same is true for bodywork! We'll have some sessions where it feels like a lot is getting worked out. We'll have other sessions where it feels just... meh. Like regular maintenance.
Quick reminder that regular maintenance is still a requirement to maintain function! You don't stop getting oil changes after your first one do you? You don't wait until your car sounds like a rattling heap of scrap before getting another oil change do you? Why treat your body, the thing that lets you live, any different?
Moreover, having a place of non-judgement to go and actually rest can be more therapeutic than attempting to force some kind of change. A place to just breathe. A place to stop clenching and posturing yourself perfectly.
