The Umbrella Center is officially 4 years old!

Looking back at everything we’ve built together over the last four years is pretty incredible. From our clients and staff to community events, outings, spirit days, book clubs, and even replacing cafeteria tables! Every number tells part of our story.

One of our favorite “statistics” is the 8 animals rescued this year. If you know us, you know random strays somehow always find their way to us, and our community continues to show up every single time with fosters, adopters, and support. It’s one of the many things that makes this place unique.

This year also brought one of our proudest accomplishments yet: launching Pathways Academy. Starting a school has been a dream in the making, and we are so proud to continue expanding the ways we support children and families.

Thank you to every family, staff member, and supporter who has been part of these first four years. We can’t wait to see what’s next.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Today we celebrate every kind of mom — the mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, bonus moms, and especially the autism moms who show up every single day with strength, patience, advocacy, and unconditional love. You do more than the world often sees, but we see you.

We also hold space today for the moms who are no longer with us, but whose love continues to guide families, shape memories, and live on through the traditions they created. Our own mom is deeply missed, and so much of The Umbrella Center is still shaped by her love, her traditions, and the way she cared for others.

TUC mommas, we hope you love your bouquets! The kids worked very hard on them this week. 💐

Please help us welcome Debbie to The Umbrella Center!

Debbie is joining us as our Director of Billing & Credentialing. She started working with our dad, Papa Wipp, back in 1995 at Franklin Surgical Associates. We truly grew up with her, and now we are lucky enough to officially have her as part of the TUC family.

Honestly, this is great news for everyone because Papa Wipp has spent the last 4 years comparing every employee to Debbie… so now we finally just have the actual Debbie working for us.

When it comes to billing, credentialing, insurance, and all the behind-the-scenes things that keep a practice running smoothly, Debbie is just the best. We are beyond happy you’re here, Debbie!
