Kyle Busch: Sepsis secondary to , as I predicted based on the history. . Not that surprising given the history of previous upper respiratory infection which can sometimes move to lower respiratory tract and then become super infected by bacteria.

passes away after an “severe illness” but the nature of that illness and cause of death has not been released. According to the articles I’ve read he had an “upper respiratory infection” about 10 days ago. If it is related, then that upper respiratory infection likely became a lower respiratory infection (pneumonia). But right now that would be considered “educated speculation” based on the patterns I’ve seen in such cases.

Busch’s family said earlier Thursday that he was being treated in a hospital with a severe illness.
