Bierman Autism Centers is a place where young kids engage in play to learn foundational skills they can build on such as self-advocacy and communication. Congratulations to the three winners of our inaugural Bierman Rising Clinician Scholarship, each of whom received a $2,000 award.

Sarah Gord (National University) applied as both a parent of a child with autism and a practicing RBT, and wrote about quality of life outcomes and family partnership with the kind of clarity that comes from living it.

Gizelle Guzman (National University) connected FCT, differential reinforcement, shaping, and chaining to Ethan's case with precision, and every strategy was tied to a clinical rationale and the BACB Ethics Code.

Laura Wald (Lehigh University) came to ABA through her brother's journey and wrote an essay that explained DRA, FCT, and motivating operations clearly and connected them to client autonomy and ethical practice.
