Join Heather for Journey To Inversions: Building Skill and Confidence Upside Down ✨

During this 2 hour workshop, you’ll gradually work your way upside down toward inversions such as headstand (sirsasana) and forearm stand (pincha mayurasana), with a few fun surprises along the way. You will learn to approach these inversions safely and with greater understanding and skill. Props will be incorporated in innovative ways to enhance strength, alignment, and confidence.

This workshop is open to all yogis, including those exploring inversions for the very first time. You’ll leave with practical techniques, fresh perspectives on prop usage, and a renewed sense of empowerment in your own abilities. This workshop isn’t about perfection, it’s about exploration, awareness, and celebrating your personal progress along the way.

Join us at Cityoga for Somatics and the Healing Power of Touch, a heart-opening and restorative experience co-facilitated by friends and colleagues Lisa Daugherty and Zelideh Martinez Hoy. Through the lens of somatics, trauma-informed care, and consensual touch, this unique offering creates a safe and soulful space where participants can reconnect to themselves and one another. This workshop blends gentle movement, somatic techniques, and platonic cuddle sessions to support emotional regulation, connection, and community. With a strong emphasis on clear communication, consent, and body awareness, you’ll experience practices that nourish your nervous system and offer deep repair for anyone navigating stress, or social isolation. Touch is powerful—it releases oxytocin, often called the “hug hormone”, which fosters wellbeing, reduces anxiety, lowers blood pressure, and helps you feel seen, safe, and supported.

Heat up your Saturday mornings with 🔥

90 minutes of heated vinyasa - a winter series!

-Saturday November 8th 10a-11:30a
-Saturday December 13th 10a-11:30a
-Saturday January 10th 10a-11:30a
-Saturday February 28th 10a-11:30a

This offering incorporates a series of postures connected by breath and vigorous movement in a heated setting. Class is designed for students to build strength, vitality and full body awareness. We will touch on continuous flow with breath, intuitive lead movement, and playful transitions. 90 minutes gives us time to workshop arm balances and/or intermediate level inversions (shoulder stand or headstand), and backbends, and still have time for a meaningful blissful savasana. Expect to break a nice healthy sweat so be sure to bring a towel and water.

Regular class drop in and membership rates apply.
