This year at Irvington Counseling Collective, we really learned what it means to be in true community.
Together, we provided 8,545 therapy sessions and served 755 people across Indiana. Behind each of those numbers is a person who chose to keep going, to ask for support, and leaned into their deservedness of care.
Through our Mental Health Relief Fund, 900+ therapy sessions were subsidized so that financial and systemic barriers did not stand in the way of healing. That is what equity looks like in practice: meeting people where they are and refusing to let money determine who gets to be supported.
Because of this collective effort, folks reported an average 56% decrease in symptoms of anxiety and depression, and $10,000 in mental health mutual aid was distributed directly into our community.
This work is possible because of our donors, clinicians, board members, community partners, and every person who believes that affirming mental health care should be accessible, dignified, and rooted in care rather than scarcity.
Thank you for choosing to invest in the betterment of this world we are traversing with care.
Thank you for trusting us with this work.
Thank you for helping build a community where healing is shared, not gated.
With deep gratitude as we step into the new year with ease and some hope, too.
