Ascension is one of the nation’s leading non-profit and Catholic health systems, with a Mission of delivering compassionate, personalized care to all with special attention to those most vulnerable. In FY2024, Ascension provided $2.1 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs. Across 16 states and the District of Columbia, Ascension’s network encompasses approximately 106,000 associates, 26,000 aligned providers, 105 wholly owned or consolidated hospitals, and 34 senior living facilities. Additionally, through strategic partnerships, Ascension holds an ownership interest in 26 other hospitals.

Meet Kelly Paul: pharmacist, mom of three, and now, neurosurgical patient turned survivor. After a sudden brain tumor diagnosis, Kelly received expert care and made a remarkable recovery. Getting her back to work, back to running, and back to raising her family.

Stories like Kelly’s will become even more common with the opening of the new Lucas Family Brain and Spine Hospital, expanding access to advanced neurosurgical care for patients across Indiana.

Her journey is proof of what’s possible when innovation and compassion come together, right here at home.

Ascension St.Vincent is a mission-based, values-driven, alliance of healthcare providers. Established in 1998, Ascension St.Vincent Health is dedicated to improving the lives and health of residents of the community it serves by providing a continuum of holistic and high-quality healthcare services. Special concern is given to the sick and poor.

Today, Ascension St.Vincent has 20 ministries and a network of primary care and specialty physicians, directly serving people in 47 counties throughout Central Indiana. The Ascension St.Vincent Health system is comprised of 1 quaternary facility, 3 tertiary hospitals, 8 critical access hospitals, 7 specialty hospitals, and several joint venture partnerships and clinical affiliations across Indiana. With more than 14,000 associates and 2,500 physicians, the faith-based hospital system is one of the largest employers in the state of Indiana.
