To our clients Regarding Services During the Pandemic:
During the coronavirus pandemic, IndyPsych intends to stay open and functioning as normally as possible. Some people may feel an increased need for counseling services due to the anxiety-provoking nature of the epidemic and of the disruption to our daily lives. Our office sees a low volume of people and our work is mostly one to one, so we think your risk of exposure to the coronavirus at our office is low. We will also stay vigilant with our own health and exposure and cancel appointments if the risk increases.
We understand that some people may feel reluctant to come in and yet still want counseling services. Others may have had exposure and are quarantined but still desire counseling services. Each of our counselors is willing to keep appointments by phone or video call if preferred (by appointment only) instead of coming in for counseling in person. Be advised, however, that video-based counseling may not be as confidential as seeing your counselor in-office as we do not control third-party services. But we will do all we can to maintain confidentiality. Since our therapists manage their own schedules contact your therapist directly if you prefer to meet by teleconference or phone call.
We are taking extra measures to clean and disinfect common surfaces and while in our building we’ll do all we can to limit your need to touch door k***s and other common surfaces.
With prayer, wisdom, and healthy rational thinking we can all live through this experience and grow through it.
God Bless,Dr. Mark Dobbs, Lori Britton, Pat Elliot, Mike Goodwin, and Cheryl Vance.
