Anita's Success Story!

Anita has come a long way since she first arrived at Bethany Village! After having a stroke, Anita was significantly debilitated. Her whole person was affected including her swallowing, breathing, thinking, and mobility and was dependent on a feeding tube and required a broda chair to be up out of bed.

Being one of the most motivated residents we've had, Anita has progressed through excellent participation in all of her therapies. Anita is now up out of bed in a standard wheelchair almost all day participating in therapy, activities, and dining room mealtimes. She is much stronger, standing and taking a few steps with assistance, can support herself sitting up, and has progressed to eating and drinking more safely. She continues to make stride in her recovery and has remained so hopeful throughout her whole experience.
