Happy 1st birthday Carmel Office (3/3)🎂! We started with 3 Lawrence Office therapists and now we are 10 strong 💪

We’d ❤️ your support and we’d ❤️ for you, our insured consumers, to have more protection‼️

Indiana House Bill 1271 original’s intent was to protect consumers and health care providers from predatory insurance practices but it keeps being changed to help insurance companies.

Currently insurance companies have the ability to pay us for a less amount of time than we provide you (downcoding); can reclaim payments of past services up to 2 years later (“clawbacks”); lower reimbursement rates despite the contract we have with them; leave our claims unpaid for months without penalty and then deny us if we have to refile new claims after the 180 days they give us; and more.

For you, anytime your insurance doesn’t pay a claim or takes back money for a past service, YOU will have to pay the provider. That can rack up to hundreds or thousands of dollars. We try to work with you and if we can no longer reach you, we take the loss. Hospitals and larger corporations will turn that into collections. HB1271 can protect you against your debt going to collections.
