It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Keller's mom, Jerry Malooley. For those of you who know Dr. Keller, even just a bit, you know how much she adored her mother. Dr. Keller will be taking some time off, so if you appointment is affected by this, our office will call you personally.
The details of Jerry's funeral can be found here:

To Our IndyDerm Patients,

Effective January 1, 2024, IndyDerm, LLC will no longer be participating in Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and Sagamore Insurance Networks. This decision comes after much consideration, and was not an easy one to make. If you are scheduled before January 1, 2024, your visit will still be covered under your insurance plan. If you have an appointment scheduled after January 1, 2024, your visit will no longer be covered under your insurance plan.

While we will no longer be participating in these networks, Dr. Keller would still like the honor of serving you. We have self pay rates that we are happy to share with you. Upon request, we can provide you with a coded receipt that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Please note: If you are enrolled in Medicare, we are still a participating provider.

If you have a supplemental plan/Medigap with any of the above networks, this change should NOT affect your supplemental reimbursement.

If you have an advantage plan/replacement plan with Aetna, Cigna, Humana or Sagamore, we will no longer be in network with these products.

If you have a PPO plan, with out-of-network coverage, your visit will be billed at Medicare rates to your network.
If you have an HMO plan, with no out-of-network coverage, you will assume full liability of payment based on Medicare rates.

If you have any questions regarding this decision, please feel free to reach out to the office at 317-215-0928.

Sincerely,

Emily C Keller, MD

October is Eczema Awareness Month. When we want to sound fancy, we call it "atopic dermatitis."  Eczema causes dry, itchy, inflamed skin in newborns through adults. This is a chronic condition with no true "cure."  Common triggers include: stress 😬, environmental irritants, soaps and detergents🧼, certain fabrics, dry air, and extreme heat or cold 🔥 ❄️. Treatments for eczema include: moisturizers, antihistamines, and prescription medications. There are so many NEW, EXCITING therapies that we are using to treat eczema. You may have seen many of these advertised, but a few of these therapies are: Dupixent, Adbry, Rinvoq, and Opzelura.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌸 to the best mommy/Sittee and to all the moms out there who are doing the world’s hardest job. God gave me the coolest, craziest, and most loving best friend—I am so grateful! 🙏🏼
As a side 📝, Goose wrote me the sweetest card and showered me with kisses today. He said he loves me because I rub his tummy, give him treats, feed him lamb, and let him lay in the sun (even though I’m a dermatologist). 🐶

Huge huge huge shout out to and Franklin Community Middle School for doing God’s work today! These amazing kids made mats and hammocks out of plastic bags and provided them to the homeless today at Beggars for the Poor. Each braid for the hammocks/mats takes 1 hour to make and 20-30 are needed for each.
My husband always tells me that these Saturday mornings are the most important thing we will do the entire weekend—and he couldn’t be more right!
