On December 26, 2010, the journey of Indianapolis EMS began at 7:06 a.m. when the crew of MD30 responded to the organization’s first call for service. 3,551 days, 18 hours, 37 minutes and 51 seconds later, at 1:37 a.m. on September 16, 2020, the crew of MD23 responded to the one millionth call. This breaks down to one call every five minutes and seven seconds. Thank you Indianapolis and Marion County for letting us serve you with the best emergency medical care available. We will always answer the call and it’s an honor to serve. For our patients, for our people, for our community!
