We are getting ready to start an advertising campaign to promote our 130th Anniversary at the funeral home. I’m excited that Dylan will be joining me in our family business too. He’s lived with me since he was 13 and has been my greatest blessing and joy.

Do you feel like your broken heart has softened since the loss of your child? Many will say no and many of the grieving moms will say yes. I really don’t know. My feelings are all over the place.

It seems impossible to believe that one day you will feel better, but it's true. Child loss is a trauma like none other, but there will be a day when hope eases its way into your heart again and your grief will be less raw. You will see bright colors again. They may not look the same as before the loss of your child, but you will see the sun shining, flowers blooming, and the bright blue sky. Don't give up, and never stop believing. Your day will come if you keep holding on!
