Hi Moses,
It has been about a month since I took your Basic Life Support class and I wanted to let you know how valuable your lessons and teachings were. Since taking your class, I have become a part of Senior1Care, in which I go into the homes of clients that need personal care aide and assist them in their daily living activities.
Earlier this week, I was assisting an eldery man and his wife in their home. The husband suffers from Parkinson’s disease and it is quite aggressive. He was enjoying his breakfast with his wife until he started to choke and struggle. The wife was panicked, but in that moment, I knew I needed to jump to action. I ended up performing the heimlich maneuver on him and a big ball of food ejected from his throat. I believe I saved his life that day and it makes me feel very lucky to have partaken in your class. Without your thorough and encouraging lessons, I would not have known what to do and would have felt panicked and fearful. So again, thank you. Thank you for being such a meaningful instructor and teaching me the basics of saving a life. I never actually considered that I would have to utilize my BLS skills so soon, but I am thankful that your teachings truly stuck with me and they will continue to for the remainder of my future in medicine.
Keep educating and inspiring others. I hope your future students gain as much as I did from your class.
