Do you notice your little one is wanting to nurse more frequently or for a longer amount of time? The holiday busy-ness can be to blame! Disrupted routines, extra distractions, and a busy, overstimulating environment can all lead your baby to seek more comfort and connection through nursing. Keep your baby close and nursing frequently and you'll likely see the return of your normal nursing pattern soon.

Women's bodies are incredible, and making milk for babies is just as amazing. It just doesn't often work the way we "think it should".

I’m Andrea, your Indiana Bradley instructor. Im also a doula and a homebirth midwife birth assistant. Last night I missed class because I was working a birth. Instead of cancelling, my amazing husband & daughter taught our lesson!

We cover so much in our weeks together, including exercise, nutrition, labor positions, ways of handling pain, relaxation, all stages of labor, home/hospital/birth center births, informed consent, postpartum, breastfeeding, and more! What truly sets this class apart from others is our focus on training your labor partner as coach. We teach them how to support you physically, mentally, and emotionally. Labor is not a spectator sport!

A common question I get about my class is, does my partner attend with me. Yes! We cover coaching in some aspect every week. One of my goals is to help train your coach to be an informed, active, hands-on member of your birth team. This helps you both feel confident during labor and postpartum, but also helps bond your partner with you and your new baby.

Eighteen years ago today our first child was born. The methods we learned from our Bradley class were key to making it through a 36-hour induction. I’m so thankful for my Bradley-trained coach, my sweet husband. He rubbed my back for so long that his arms got tired & he used his head.
