Amazing! Today we toured the only to learn one of our resident’s grandfather was the architect! To test the bell tower, several of the grandchildren were asked to go up while her father played a tune…the only one he knew was Three Blind Mice.

The weather was on our side just long enough for residents, staff, and family members to gather and enjoy a wonderful Village Fair here at ! From mouthwatering carnival food to an adorable variety of animals, plus games that brought out everyone’s playful side—it was an afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and community spirit. Who could ask for more?

WVN residents actively work to ensure we respect and continue to build a natural habitat for our wildlife. Today Dr Dan H released a handful of monarch butterflies he nurtured through the various stages before emerging as butterflies. As a result our Monarch population continues to thrive and everyone becomes more educated. Thank you! Also thank you resident William Voiles for your fantastic photos!!

The dedication and leadership of our Executive Director, Ruth Fuchs, whose passion for honoring our veterans and building community continues to inspire us all.

We’re incredibly grateful to our staff, residents, families, and the extended friends from Westminster Village, Hoosier Village, and the BHI Community who came together to show their appreciation for those who have served our country.

It was a heartfelt day full of gratitude, remembrance, and unity—and a beautiful reminder of what community really means. ❤️

There’s always something exciting happening at WVN Independent Living! Today, we took a trip to the Louisville Mega Cavern, where we learned about its origins as a potential shelter during the Cuban Missile Crisis. We also discovered how the owner later transformed it into a fun-filled attraction for all ages. Join us for fun at home or on the road!

WVN proudly sent eight of our veteran residents to participate in the Indy Virtual Honor Flight program held at Hoosier Village this past weekend. Unfortunately 2 additional veterans were planning to attend but not able. They, too, were honored at the event. Thank you to staff, residents, families and friends!
