The nitty gritty of blue light💡

Simply put, we are flooding our system with it. We spend most of our days looking at computer screens and cellphones then we go home and look at more screens. There is NO break! And you need a break, especially at night time.

While in chiropractic school I was experiencing headaches and visual floaters all day, every day (and trust me, I was getting adjusted😬). Even though I considered myself an “old school” student preferring pen and paper, the new times forced laptops and iPads, not to mention the projections I was starting at all day. So, I bought a pair of blue blocking glasses. And bam 💥 the floaters were gone and the tension headaches had disappeared, well for the most part (I was still in school).

My first pair of blue blockers are nonprescription that I wear with my contacts for times when I know I’ll be looking at screens a lot. But, then I’d go home and replace my contacts with glasses and continue to look at screens🤦🏼‍♀️ so, I bought new prescription glasses and made them blue blocking as well.

It’s all interconnected. 🕸️
Traumas can be anything from giving birth, car accidents, or sport injuries to sitting, sleeping, and computer work.

Toxins are often central nervous system disruptions and interfere with pathways of communication. Examples of toxins include: lotions, cosmetics, household cleaners, and foods.

Thoughts such as emotional and mental stress can put our bodies into a “fight or flight” mode, which can present in chemical imbalances, whether we are conscious about the stress or not.

This is what makes chiropractic so special! We interconnect the entire nervous system.

Chiropractic is looking at your nervous system. Making sure that your brain is communicating to your body and vice versa. We look for what is called subluxations, or a misalignment within your spine, causing interference in the communication system. Hi everyone, Dr. Wipperfurth here! Wondering what’s been happening on my journey? No, I didn’t think so, but I’m going to tell you anyways! I moved to Indianapolis and accepted a job with and I absolutely 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 it! My dream was all things prenatal and pediatrics and that dream has come true 10 fold! Updated youngest patient: 3 days old!!! I mean come on, how could I not love it!?! I’m still accepting Indianapolis friends, so if you know someone tag them below⬇️ (only half kidding). Good-bye Palmer Clinic ✨

This has been an experience that’s for sure, but one that I will forever be grateful for regardless! I had the opportunity to treat pediatric patients, practice structural correction, learn from multiple doctors, and help other mod mates through being CTA. So, thank you for everything, mod mates, mod docs, and clinic friends. And thank you to all my patients.
