Celebrating a medical milestone in Indiana! 🎉

The team at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital has successfully performed the first commercial transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) in the state using the FDA-approved EVOQUE™ system from Edwards Lifesciences. This groundbreaking, minimally invasive procedure offers new hope for patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation—restoring valve function in about an hour, with faster recovery and improved quality of life.

💡 EVOQUE is the world’s first and only FDA-approved transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement system, with clinical trials showing over 95% success in reducing TR to mild or less within a year.

Congratulations to Christin Dollar, a registered nurse in surgery at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. Christin won the DAISY Foundation Award for her compassionate patient care and dedication. She was nominated by the wife of one of her patients and her manager. You can see the touching video from her surprise DAISY Award celebration. Her patient, his wife, and Christin's family were on hand for the big event.
