Congratulations to Andrea Babel, the most recent recipient of the PHIL Award! Andrea is a Respiratory Therapist at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. Community Health Network selects a caregiver quarterly for the PHIL Award. PHIL is an acronym for Pulmonary Health and Illnesses of the Lungs. The PHIL Award is given to a respiratory therapist who has provided outstanding care and treatment to patients with pulmonary illnesses. Andrea was nominated by 2 patients' families! Andrea's husband and kids showed up for the surprise celebration.

Volunteers from the Community Hospital North Quilting Bee and Mudsock Quilters Guild have been working all year to brighten the holidays for our patients on the North Campus. This year, they made more than 300 quilts to be given to patients at Community Hospital North, Community Heart and Vascular Hospital, and Community Rehab Hospital who are spending Christmas in the hospital. Nearly 250 Mudsock Quilters spent the past year working on this labor of love!

Visitor restrictions are in effect starting Monday, December 22 to help prevent the spread of respiratory infections, like the flu. If you're planning a visit at one of the Community Health Network hospitals or Cancer Centers, please ensure the following guidelines are met:
✅ No visitors under age 18
✅ Visitors are to be limited to patient’s immediate family or as identified by patient
✅ No more than two visitors at a time per patient
✅ Visitors must wear masks in patient rooms when requested
✅ Those with respiratory symptoms may not visit
