o found a niche in high-tech nursing cases, especially ventilator dependent cases and high tech pediatric cases. Since the majority of our nurses have intensive-care experience or other high-tech experience, filling this specialized home care need seemed a natural route for Tendercare to follow. Our staff possesses excellent assessment skills acquired from previous nursing experiences, that in addition to the on-going training Tendercare provides with ventilator classes and mandatory annual reviews of emergency procedures, makes for an effective staff, well equipped to handle most any situation.

When the Indians let us know we could choose someone to throw out the first pitch, we immediately knew the perfect guy for the job.

Jason Hamilton, known as on TikTok, is fun-loving, full of personality, and has a heart of gold. Seeing him in the spotlight, surrounded by family who came to cheer him on, made the night incredibly special. He threw the first pitch, met Indians pitcher Isaac Mattson, and even got a moment with the legendary Reggie Wayne.

Thank you to the Indianapolis Indians for helping us celebrate the kickoff of this partnership and the installation of Universal Changing Tables in Section 115 at Victory Field. It was a night we won’t forget.

Families using the Health & Wellness Waiver may need to prepare for an upcoming change from FSSA.

Beginning August 1, 2026, paid relatives and legal guardians who provide Attendant Care, Home & Community Assistance, and/or Skilled Respite may be limited to up to 40 reimbursable hours per week across those services.

This may impact families where a parent of an adult child, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, or other relative is currently providing more than 40 hours per week of paid care.

Parents of minor children are not impacted unless the child qualifies for Attendant Care under the Extraordinary Care provision.

We know changes like this can feel overwhelming, especially for families who rely on consistent care. If you believe your family may be impacted, now is the time to review your plan and talk with your case manager.
