💡 Shining a Light on History in Junior Kinder 💡Our Junior Kinder students have been learning about Lewis Latimer, an inventor whose work helped make the light bulb safer, longer-lasting, and accessible to families everywhere.To bring learning to life, our students cut out and painted their own lightbulbs, connecting creativity with history. Through hands-on art, they explored how one person’s ideas can light up the world ✨At Love and Light Learning Academy, we believe Black history is history, and it’s important for our children to see themselves reflected in innovation, excellence, and possibility.🖤📚💡

As part of our Clothes investigation, our preschoolers gathered for story time and took a trip to the laundromat through literature. While listening, they explored how clothes are washed, sorted, and cared for, making real-world connections to their everyday lives.
Story time like this builds language development, listening skills, vocabulary, and comprehension, while helping children understand routines and responsibilities they see at home. Learning comes alive when children can connect stories to their world! ✨

Light Bingo in Pre-K 💡
Today our Pre-K scholars played Light Bingo as part of our Lights Investigation! This fun, hands-on game helped children strengthen visual discrimination, focus, and listening skills as they identified different light sources and matched them on their boards. Light Bingo also supports early science concepts, vocabulary development, and turn-taking, all while making learning exciting and engaging. Through play, our learners are building a deeper understanding of how light works in the world around them—one bright moment at a time! 🌟
