DTS Weight Loss is short for Dedicate, Transform, Succeed; 3 words that reflect the process undergone when working towards a healthier you. DTS is a program structured around sound nutrition and an active lifestyle to achieve your ultimate weight and overall health goals. With weekly accountability meetings with a Certified Health and Wellness Coach, success is significantly greater than making self promises. We work to provide our clients with the tools they need to not only meet their own goals, but also to inspire to eat healthier, be more active, and identify the obstacles that hinder success. DTS is overseen by multiple medical professionals and diagnostic blood work is implemented to address any physiological abnormalities that may prevent success. This is what makes our weight loss plan both unique and effective; it is customized and tailored to each client’s needs and expectations.

Often times people will fall into the trap of strictly dieting. But, understanding that instead of dieting, changing your habits and mindset is the best way to take control of your nutrition and weight.

It starts small as well. Limit your snacks and when you run out, buy fewer and healthier alternatives, such as fruit!
Taking small steps like this can drastically improve your overall health in addition to your weight management!

Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis, or NEAT, is the third and final aspect of thermogenesis.

NEAT takes effect when we are doing activities or movements without the intention of exercise. Some examples would include taking a walk or cleaning your home.

NEAT is a highly undervalued aspect of weight management. The key to NEAT is pairing it with other positive changes to maximize its benefit.

For example, swap out a bag of chips and a soda for some water instead. You will “lose” those 500 calories from the snack, pairing that with an extra walk or more time standing throughout the day, and the benefits of NEAT will become more apparent!

Thermogenesis can have a significant influence on weight loss. This is because it burns calories which can help you avoid a positive energy balance which is the main cause of weight gain.
