"A year ago, I had my first appointment after having a loss and going through months of hormonal issues. Dr. Jarrett and I agreed that I had pseudocyesis after my pregnancy loss and assured me that he had confidence we could get pregnant again. "All you have to do is try," he said. Well, here I am a year later taking my 3-month-old baby girl's pictures. Miss Nazareth Kay is perfect."

💛In today’s video, Dr. Christine Hur explains what RPL means and walks through the broad categories of possible causes. RPL is more common than many realize, and it’s emotionally challenging—not only because of the losses themselves, but also because sometimes tests can come back normal, leaving you without clear answers.

What can cause RPL (at a high level):
• Genetic factors (chromosomal differences)
• Uterine/anatomical considerations
• Hormonal and endocrine factors
• Immune/autoimmune issues
• Lifestyle and health-related factors
