Another gem by a very important teacher in my life, Darcia Narvaez. This speaks to exactly what I am telling people all the time “there is nothing wrong with you!” Whatever has brought someone in to therapy is inevitability a survival mechanism from earlier in their life. Here, Dr. Narvaez describes this as the natural results of minds that have been shaped by undercare in early life and the effects of colonialization of our minds for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
