We’re excited to host college students and training programs like Purdue MEP’s workshops at State Safety. For us, it’s important to make sure doors are open for future manufacturers to learn, ask questions, and see how the industry works in a real-world setting.

Sharing our space and experience is one small way we can support workforce development and help the next generation prepare for what’s ahead.

Important reminders as we near severe winter weather!❄️

🦺 Wear high-visibility gear when working near roads or in low-light, snowy conditions so you’re easily seen

🥾 Choose the right footwear - insulated, slip-resistant boots help prevent falls and keep your feet warm

⏸️ Take breaks while shoveling to avoid overexertion

💧 Hydrate regularly - just because you don’t feel hot doesn’t mean your body doesn’t need water

The right winter PPE doesn’t just keep you warm, but it also helps keep you safe when conditions are at their worst. ❄️

Before you fire up the fryer:

🧯Keep a fire extinguisher nearby.
🏥 First aid kit on standby - because accidents pop up faster than hot oil.

And for the love of gravy, NEVER fry a frozen turkey.
