The thing is, feelings are temporary, and you open your heart, the potential for harm is there. Ideally those you choose to allow to see your soft underbelly will be gentle, but even the most delicate love can pierce your heart and cause suffering. If you’re feeling betrayed or rejected, remember that it will pass. Focus your attention on reality—logic will help you through heartache. Nobody gets through life without pain. What you’re gaining through this process is necessary. You’re learning to avoid a deeper pain than this one.

What currently seems like a small success is actually a major win. Months ago, you would have done anything for this, but now it feels a little lackluster.
